Computer Misuse Act

An Act to make provision for securing computer material against unauthorized access or modification; and for connected purposes.

1) unauthorized access to computer material, punishable by 6 Months in prison and/or £5000 fine.

2) unauthorized access with intent to commit or facilitate commission of further offences, punishable by 5 Years in prison and/or unlimited fine.

3) unauthorized modification of computer material, punishable by 5 Years in prison and/or an unlimited fine.

4) Making, supplying or obtaining anything which can be used in computer misuse offences, punishable with up to a ten-year prison sentence and/or an unlimited fine
